We are also monitor situation in our side and observe Maintenance Mode in all Nextcloud One services. To provide more transparency for you and to allow you to plan for the future, we want to inform you.
What is going on?
The issue we had after last Nextcloud Upgrade. Many of users after, can't remove/edit their files via WEB.
What the problem is?
We have contacted with Nextcloud Dev Team including all logs, and get back with info, that Server-Side Encryption(SSE) and End-to-End (E2E) are not more supported together.
What should we do?
As Nextcloud provider we should disable SSE feature, but it can takes a long time. How much? it depends on files we have, but we have a lot of files.
Despite the change, we believe that Nextcloud product still provide you with a secure and safe place as software. Because the End-to-End Encryption sill available and it's more powerfull that SSE.
However, if you choose to end your contract, you can cancel and/or delete products using our administration interfaces and within the normal cancellation period.
If you still want to keep service, we will add for free 2 weeks.
This was a difficult decision for us to make; we always strive to keep data safe and secure.
